Performance Back Band - Black or Hawaii Print The Performance Back Band is best used for kayak surfing and for those paddlers who desire a minimal back support. A back band can be used in combination with a seat pad (Hot Seat). Choose "Basic Black" or "Hawaii Print" at checkout. This is a Brass Clips only backrest, but can be converted with an OK Kayak Seat Adaptor Kit or a pair of Plastic Side Squeeze Buckles.

Drifter Backrest with Extra Thick Seat Pad
(Made for the Ocean Kayak Drifter but fits some other kayak models. Ask Tom @ TopKayaker.net for advice on using this with other kayak models) This backrest is designed to rise the paddler out of the "puddle" in the bottom of the kayak seat. The seat pad is 14" wide, 12.5" from front to back, 3.5" thick! The back support and pocket is the same as the "high tech", 12" high. Plastic buckles or Brass clip models available. Hi-Tech Backrest with Pocket: This is my all around favorite backrest. It has a large cargo pocket that will hold quite a lot of stuff. The foam that it is molded from is an excellent insulating surface to keep your butt warm in cold water. Not too tall for surfing.

Tall-Back Backrest with Pocket: The Tall Back will provide greater support and more comfort for those who need and want a very comfortable ride. Best for bigger paddlers or those with "bad backs." The back support is 18 inches high. A pocket on the back is very handy for storage.

BACKREST STRAP ADAPTER (aka Fit Kit - Jump Seat Clip)
This gizmo will allow you to adapt your backrest with fastex plastic 1½ inch buckles (one male, one female) to attach to a pair of strap eyes (right & left) behind the seat. Originally designed to allow installation of a backrest in the center seat of a Malibu Two and many similar tandem kayaks, so it can be paddled as a solo boat. This adapter will help you put a assortment of “Ocean Kayak style” backrests on a wide assortment of kayaks by all other makers. The Backrest Strap adapter can also double as a cargo strap if pairs of strap eyes are strategically located in cargo areas.
Each strap measures maximum 15 inches.

Tarpon Backrest Pad (with cargo pocket) This pad is compatible with the Wilderness Systems Tarpons. The solution for those who do not find the stock Tarpon seat back comfortable. It quickly straps on over the hard plastic seat back. A zippered cargo pocket hangs off the back providing 320 cubic inches of storage. Just add a Grande Hot Seat to make the comfort complete.
